This holiday was actually planned months ago when Air Asia have a promotion for their ticket fare. So, we just pay the airport tax and it costs us RM429 for 3 persons return ticket. Since Kimi is more than 2 years old, we have to pay the full fare for him.
The first day was spent in the hotel since it was raining the whole day. Had our dinner in the hotel and the rest of the was spent in front of the idiot box. I booked the Andaman Beach Suites for around RM150 pernight. The room was okay and comparable to what we can get in Malaysia for the same price.
These photos was actually during the city tour on the next day. We book a city tour with a local travel agent and the following describes the tour
Visiting Island highlights such as Karon View Point , the panoramic view of Kata Noi Beach / Kata Beach / Karon Beach , beautiful scenery of Nai Ya Beach and Nai Harn Beach . Visit to shooting range / Elephant trekking at Kinnaree Elephant Camp/Monkey School then to Wat Chalong Temple, Phuket's most revered monastery, visit to Srisupaluk Cashew Nut factory , a famous local product, then to Phuket town for sightseeing Century-old Sino Portugese Building. Break for Lunch at Phuket Local Thai Food restaurant .

Jalan2: Tupai-tupai and Istana Negara 150406
|
|
It was a spontaneous decision to have our lunch in Tupai-Tupai that saturday. So, off we went and for Rm70, I think it was quite expensive for two person. May be it was because of the Siakap and Udang. And the food was also something not to die for. At least, that's what I think.
On the way back, we checked out Jalan Bellamy, the famous place for ikan bakar. We found it and promised to go there the week after (yea..we did). Our final stop....Istana Negara and we managed to witness the guard changing ceremony.
Don't ask me why we stop at the Istana Negara. Again.....it was a spontaneous decision.

Abag Sam's Daughter Wedding
|
|
We were invited to Abang Sam's daughter wedding in Shah Alam. Met allot of people that we knew in Sydney. It was sort like a small reunion. And the food was very different from the usual wedding food i.e nasi beriani, ayam rendang and daging. They served butter prawn,
sambal tempe, pecal, daing salai masak lemak, ikan masin goreng and
sweet sour fish. Very different and very delicious....
